1500 students sit their BSN Generic exam today at JSMU

A total of 1500 candidates are expected to sit their Bachelors of Science in Nursing BSN (Generic) examination, for a number of 50 seats on November 13, 2021, at Jinnah Sindh Medical University.

Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Shahid Rasul visited the examination site to evaluate the examination duties, accompanied by Dr Fatima Abid, Director Office of Admissions. The applications were invited for 5 self-finance seats, and 45 open-merit seats. According to the details, the seats are equally distributed among boys and girls.

‘The test is structured, in accordance with the latest curriculum alterations.’ Says Dr Fatima. The test components comprise Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Vaccination certificates of all appearing candidates were ensured for the examination. Lecture halls across the University were dedicated to accommodating a large number of applicants. IoN-JSMU offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.

Earlier this week, the Office of Admissions conducted an entrance examination of around 38 candidates for the first cycle of admissions in Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) in Hospital and Healthcare Management. ‘The admission process is divided into two cycles to accomodate the large number of applicants’, explained Dr Fatima Abid. She also added that applications are open for the second cycle of admissions and the entrance examination is expected in January 2022.
