LAHORE: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Vice Chancellor Javed Akram said that MBBS annual examinations have started on Wednesday across medical colleges in Punjab province.

UHS Vice Chancellor said the papers are being conducted by the University of Health Sciences which include 6368 students of 43 medical colleges. The UHS has set up 24 examinations centers across provinces where three hours duration papers are being conducted.

In Lahore, 2496 students are sitting in the MBBS papers amid strict coronavirus SOPs implementation.

Earlier, a delegation of the Student Action Committee met with the Vice Chancellor and expressed their concerns about the on-campus examinations. However, the UHS VC took the students in confidence and said on-campus papers will be held amid due vigilance and strict SOPs to contain the virus.
