Addressing the prize distribution ceremony, Punjab Higher Education Commission Chairman Dr Nizamuddin said the event had been highly successful as it allowed school, college and university students to converge at a single platform. “Such events should be adopted as a model by the educational institutions. These events teach us discipline and the lesson of winning and losing,” he added.

Dr Nizamuddin said there was a need to promote national unity through such events and PHEC would continue to support such competitions. The PHEC chairman said that our educational institutions should revise curriculum and teaching methodologies by emphasising more on practical work, adding that class work should not exceed 60 percent of the evaluation and rest of 40 percent learning should be through such co-curricular activities.

In total, cash prizes of Rs 300,000 were announced by Punjab University, while PHEC Chairman Dr Nizamuddin announced individual cash awards for all participants who secured first, second and third positions. We congratulate PU, The Educationist team and other organisers for organising a truly constructive event for students of the country.
