3P Learning, in collaboration with Kingston College, organized 5th Annual  Love Learning Conference (LLC) 2019 on February 16, 2019 in Lahore. The theme for the conference was “The Taken For Granted- in educating a child”, with an exclusive audience of more than 200 K-12 teachers and educators.

LLC (a non-for- profit initiative of 3P Learning Pakistan) aims to cultivate a rich learning environment, where schools, educators, families and everyone else gets an opportunity to engage with top of the line mentors and learn to “love learning”. 3P is immensely proud to be inspiring K-12 teachers and educators to re-imagine teaching and learning, as well as empowering students for life for the past five years.

The conference was attended by leading educationists and professionals that included Abbas Husain, Tina Hameed, Dr Rukhsana Zia, Marvi Khan, Dr Fareeha Zafar, Waleed Iqbal, Attique Ahmed, Naila Farrukh and a few more have mentoring the delegates.

3P learning is committed to cultivate a rich learning environment and giving delegates a direct access to industry thought leaders. Its also enables educators to gain access to expertise, analysis and emerging trends in education and edTech through thought-provoking sessions and discussions.

The conference opened up with a keynote address from Dr Rukhsana Zia — head of Center for Learning & Teaching at Forman Christian College Lahore — titled “The END is about THE BEGINNING !”. Raising the crucial question of “what sort of an individual do we want to develop?”, she established that the prevailing frameworks for an educated person were dysfunctional or rather incomplete, at best. She also suggested an alternate framework that was more inclusive and effective for a better world.

Further highlights of the conference include two rounds of side by side workshops and a panel discussion. Another highlight of the conference was PORTAL Director and Education Consultant Tina Hameed’s workshop on “Taking Fun learning Seriously”. The focus was making teachers realize the importance of and learning to make teaching fun.

Abbas Hussain, director of Teachers Development Center, conducted a workshop on the complexity of classroom life and the “Taken For Granted” taboos about the relationship and social development of young individuals. 3P Community Educator Marvi Khan enlightened the delegates with her influential workshop on “Educate for LIFE!”. Knitting together the knowledge of neuroscience, psychology, and education, she reflected on how classroom practices and expectation from children contradicted neuroscience and presented practical strategies based on learning and behavioral principles to optimise the learning and teaching process.

The conference aimed at inspiring teachers and educators to think differently and creatively about teaching and learning. The theme of the conference, “Taken For Granted”, aimed at raising the apprehended taboos in education. Many researches have proven that basic learning cannot be facilitated without having a considerable consideration on how he brain and body work, as well as addressing the very basic need and nature of human existence.
