4418 students participate in DUET’s pre-admission test

Dawood University of Engineering and Technology on Wednesday held a pre-admission test in two phases for the academic year 2021-22 at the NED University.

According to the DUET spokesperson, more than 4418 students from all over Sindh and various cities of the country participated in the computer-based entrance test for admission on 735 allotted seats in 8 fields of Engineering, Architecture, BS Computer Science, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and Mathematics.

On Wednesday, three different test sessions were held from 9 am to 1 pm and in each session, 750 students were seated in different computer laboratories and no more than 30 students were seated in each laboratory.

There were 3 test sessions on Thursday and they were also seated with distance ensuring the Covid-19 SOPs. The DUET management was focused to fully implement the SOPs during the exam hours and social distances were maintained. Before test, the temperature of each candidate was checked. All facilities were provided to the candidates.

The DUET Vice Chancellor Dawood University Dr. Faizullah Abbasi, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Abdul Waheed Bhutto, Dean Faculty of Engineering Dr. Zeeshan Ali Memon, Registrar Dr. Syed Asif Ali Shah and members of the Vigilance and Coordination Committee were present at the NED University.

They reviewed the arrangements and expressed satisfaction. Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Faizullah Abbasi said that we have always encouraged talented students and the entrance test of Dawood University is an effort to select the best and brightest students. We have adhered to the principle of merit and extreme transparency in the entrance test keeping in view the pure merit in the admission process. A culture of transparency has been established in admissions.
