President All Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF) Kashif Mirza chaired a review meeting of APPSF Central Executive Committee on the current situation of COVID and widely rejected the decision of NCOC regarding alternate days classes strategy.

While addressing the meeting President Kashif Mirza stated APPSF has clearly rejected NCOC Schools Closure decision and alternate-day schools strategy, and has instructed the private schools to ensure effective measures to tackle the current situation of COVID.

He said that As per NCOC data, 98% teachers and 94% students’ are already vaccinated, there is no justification of NCOC Schools Closure decision and alternate-day schools strategy, classes must be regular without any delay or break. He said that an irreparable educational loss of the students already been done due to bad governance and bad policies of Education authorities during COVID, Dengue and Smog issues.

All Pakistan Private Schools Federation issued SOPs and guidelines for schools to take precautionary measures for COVID, Dengue and smog. He also regretted that everything was open, but doors of education were closed again. He said the schools closure would deprive more than 75 million students from their fundamental right to education.

About online classes, he said only two percent elite class students had access to online education, while the other children who were out of school across the countr, should be given their constitutional rights to education. Mr Mirza demanded that the students and staff of private and public schools must be vaccinated against the virus on priority.
