All Pakistan Universities BPS Teachers Association (APUBTA) is planning to stage protest in front of HEC office on March 10, 2022.

The association has formally submitted an application to the DC of Islamabad. ““You are, being ex officio magistrate of the Islamabad Capital Territory and one of the key executive representatives of ICT Administration, requested to allow us for the commencement of the program with detail mentioned hereinabove and please make sure the necessary security and other arrangements connecting the concerned departments. We would welcome if any queries thereto”

“We as an organization believe in dialogue to resolve conflicts. However, it is said with heavy heart that we are launching a protest for our due rights and against the unsuccessful dialogue process comprising on approximately 18 rounds of negotiations with Officials in HEC and Federal Ministry of Education since 02 years”.

The main cause is the redundant delay by HEC for the approval of our proposed BPS structure against their lasting negligence in violation of, the Article 10-Q of the HEC Ordinance, 2002 and, the right to promotion of the entire BPS faculty in the universities of the country. Unfortunately, all such hindrances are creating serious issues relating to seniority and other irreparable losses to the carriers of several teachers on their verge of retirements. Now therefore, we find no prima facie redressal except to stage this protest to invoke the considerations of all the stakeholder authorities for expeditious involvement in this very context.
