The University of Essex and Beaconhouse International College (BIC) have announced a groundbreaking transnational education (TNE) partnership, set to offer a variety of business, law, and technology courses at graduate and postgraduate levels across Pakistan starting September 2024.
The collaboration will see the launch of new programmes at Beaconhouse’s three purpose-built campuses in Islamabad, Faisalabad, and Lahore, providing students with access to University of Essex courses without the need to travel to the UK. Offerings include an MSc in Applied Data Science, LLM in International Commercial Law, LLB Law, BSc in Artificial Intelligence, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), and more.
David Briggs, Deputy Dean of Partnerships at the University of Essex, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, describing it as an opportunity to meet the demand for high-quality education in Pakistan and the wider region. “We’re delighted to enter this agreement with Beaconhouse, one of the most respected education providers in the region. Together, we aim to deliver a genuine international experience to students, creating new pathways between our institutions.”
Beaconhouse International College’s Chief Executive Officer, Nassir Kasuri, highlighted the significance of this partnership, noting that it provides “unparalleled access to some of the best UK qualifications” and offers a truly international academic experience within Pakistan for the first time.
The University of Essex is the highest-ranked UK institution to establish a TNE partnership in Pakistan, demonstrating its commitment to fostering international collaboration and broadening access to world-class education.
