BNU Encourages Holistic Well-Being

In a bid to promote mental well-being and equip students with essential stress management techniques, the Institute of Psychology at Beaconhouse National University (BNU) held a mindfulness session during the university’s Open Week 2024. The event, designed to foster focus and mental clarity, was open to all students and faculty members, providing a supportive environment for the practice and learning of mindfulness.

Led by esteemed faculty members Ms Lara Naz and Ms Bismah Tayyab, the session aimed to introduce participants to various mindfulness practices that can be incorporated into daily routines to improve overall mental health. Ms Naz and Ms Tayyab, both recognized for their contributions to the field of psychology, guided the attendees through a series of exercises designed to enhance awareness and reduce stress.

The mindfulness session, held in the serene setting of the Institute of Psychology, attracted a diverse group of participants eager to learn about the benefits of mindfulness. The facilitators emphasized the importance of being present in the moment and provided practical tips on how to manage stress in academic and personal life.
