British expert visits DNA & Serology Lab at PCMD – UoK

The famous British expert in forensic DNA and serology sciences, Dr William Goodwin, has expressed satisfaction over the quality of the work in the Sindh Forensic DNA and Serology Laboratory (SFDL) at the Dr Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD), University of Karachi (UoK).

In a statement, spokesman of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi on Monday said that the visit of Dr William Goodwin, the professor at the School of Forensic and Applied Science, University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN), UK, was sponsored by the Forensic Division of International Committee of The Red Cross (ICRC).

In a meeting held at the Dr Panjwani Center, Prof Dr M Iqbal Choudhary, Director of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, and COMSTECH Coordinator General, welcomed the British expert to the international center. SFDL In charge and Project Director Dr Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan was also present in the meeting.

In his visit, Professor Goodwin observed the laboratory activities of analysts at the SFDL, and expressed satisfaction over the quality of the work. He also applauded the latest equipment and working capacity of the Sindh Forensic DNA and Serology Laboratory.

Prof Iqbal Choudhary told the foreign expert, “The ICCBS always engage experts of international repute to keep the quality of its research and relevant scientific activities at par with the international standards.”
