This approval followed a proposal by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training to the cabinet, advocating for the permanent status of these employees who successfully passed the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) examination for grades 16 and 17.

Of the approximately 300 daily wage educators who took part in the FPSC test, about 60 did not pass.

Interim Education Minister Madad Ali Sindhi announced that the Ministry of Finance has greenlighted the positions, and the transition to permanent status will be finalized shortly. He emphasized the urgency of addressing educational challenges. “Our focus is on promptly resolving issues related to education,” he stated.

He further noted the country’s longstanding challenges, pledging swift action towards their resolution. “Our educators and particularly our students, who represent our nation’s future, need to be prioritized,” he remarked.

During the cabinet meeting led by Interim Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar, a moment was also taken to honor the martyrs who laid down their lives protecting the polio team in Bajaur. The cabinet denounced the terrorist assault on police officers and prayed for the souls of those lost.

The interim prime minister asserted that the nation will always remember the heroes who sacrificed their lives for a better future.
