Lahore: University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore organized annual Career Fair’2021 here on Thursday. Vice Chancellor UET Prof Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar participated as chief guest and inaugurated the event. He also visited all stalls.
Talking to the participants at inauguration ceremony he said that Engineering University is an institution where students are being provided with opportunities for entrepreneurship as well as advanced technical training. It will ultimately help our youth to start small businesses on a large scale so that they can earn for themselves and their families.
Coordinator Career Fair Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser said that the purpose of this event was to provide employment opportunities to 2000 plus final year students by gathering the industries and academia on a single platform. More than 8000 students visited all the stalls in which Minhas Pipes, AMS group of companies, Educative, Abryx and many other industries recruited students on the spot.
Deans, Chairmen, faculty members and large number of students were also present at this ocassion. Officials of more than 100 national and Multi-national industries participated in the event with their 120 stalls where recruitment process was being done.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar appreciated the efforts of Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser and his team for organizing the mega event successfuly. The event ended up in a very smooth way. In the end of event a dinner was arranged and shields were presented to participant companies and organizers.
