Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine to be unveiled tomorrow

Sino-Pakistan Symposium on Traditional Chinese Medicine-Traditional Unani Medicine and unveiling Ceremony of the “Sino-Pakistan Cooperation Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine” will be held at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences Karachi University on Wednesday.

Dr. Kazim Hussain Jatoi, Secretary, Health and Population Welfare, Government of Sindh, will uncover the plaque of the Sino-Pakistan Cooperation Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine at the International Center, the ICCBS Spokesman said.

He added that many Chinese and Pakistani officials including Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman, ICCBS Patron-in-chief and Chairman of Prime Minister’s Task Force on Science and Technology, Sindh Minister for Health & Population Welfare Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, Prof. Dr. Khalid M. Iraqi, Vice-Chancellor University of Karachi, Pakistan’s Ambassador in China Moin ul Haque, Deputy Chief of Mission Chinese Embassy in Pakistan Chunxue Pang, Mayor Li Chunqiu, Huaihua, Hunan Province of China, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Director of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, and COMSTECH Coordinator General will address the occasion physically or online.

The spokesman said that one of the prime objectives of this event was to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan. The ICCBS University of Karachi has owned the Sino-Pakistan Cooperation Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine in its premises. This event will simultaneously be held in China and Pakistan at the same time.
