In a major move to boost educational collaboration between Pakistan and China, Secretary of Education Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani met with a high-level Chinese delegation led by Wang Dang, Chairman of CIIC Technology Group, at the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT).
The delegation, which included senior executives from CIIC International Education Technology Co Ltd, was also joined by key Pakistani officials, including Joint Secretary Education Sohail Akhtar and NAVTTC Executive Director Muhammad Aamir Jan.
Secretary MoFEPT Wani welcomed Chairman Wang Dang, recognizing him as a trusted ally of Pakistan committed to the country’s progress. He highlighted Pakistan’s urgent education challenges, particularly due to climate change, but assured that the government has declared an “education emergency” and is pooling all resources to tackle the crisis.
“We are prioritizing access to education, infrastructure upgrades, teacher training, and student nutrition—working closely with multiple ministries,” Wani stated.
Wang Dang expressed CIIC’s strong interest in setting up technical training centers across Pakistan to empower youth with job-ready skills, supporting both local employment and Chinese enterprises under CPEC. He lauded Pakistan’s education reforms and pledged full cooperation.
A key outcome was the agreement to organize a high-level bilateral meeting between Pakistani and Chinese education ministers to fast-track the launch of these training centers.
Wani also showcased Pakistan’s innovative initiatives, including disaster-resilient schools, the Pink Bus Program for female students, and the School Meals Program to fight child malnutrition. “Our 360-degree reforms, backed by the PM’s task force, ensure sustainable impact,” he added.
Wang Dang shared CIIC’s expertise as a leading HR and education solutions provider in China since 1987. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening education ties for mutual growth.
