Punjab ministry of education has issued a circular to all 53,000 schools across the province to complete the cleanliness drive in their respective schools before the end of summer vacations. All educational officers and school heads have been ordered to clean classrooms, playgrounds, washrooms and roofs before August 14. The cleaning staff has been directed to remove wild bushes from school playgrounds before the given deadline.

The school administration has also been directed to place towels, soaps and other related items in washrooms and to place informational banners for awareness against dengue virus.

All provincial schools have been asked to submit a detailed report in this regard, adding that any complaint on issues related to cleanliness would be handled strictly.
