During a ceremony at FAST National University of Computer and Engineering Sciences (NUCES) in Islamabad, the chief minister highlighted that the initiative enables talented students to pursue higher education at top institutions without financial burden. The Punjab government will fully cover the educational costs for deserving students through this program.

She outlined that the scholarships will benefit students from 65 universities, 12 medical and dental colleges, and 359 colleges across Punjab. The program supports students under the age of 22 with a Punjab domicile, provided their parents’ monthly income is below Rs300,000. Students across 68 fields of study are eligible to apply.

Maryam Nawaz stressed the program’s transparency, explaining that applications were processed via an online portal and reviewed by provincial and institutional committees, all under the supervision of a steering committee chaired by Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb.

She also highlighted key milestones, including the first ceremony at the University of Punjab, where 2,473 students were awarded scholarships, followed by the second event at FAST University Islamabad, where 2,570 students from the Rawalpindi division received scholarships.

Additionally, she mentioned that 1,886 scholarships were awarded to students of UET Lahore, with 1,660 going to public-sector university students and 637 to private-sector university students.
