Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced comprehensive support for exceptional students, including scholarships and facilities to ease their educational expenses.

She emphasized that financial barriers should not hinder their educational pursuits.
The Chief Minister criticized the underutilization of public resources for public welfare over the past 75 years. She outlined plans to gradually expand the “Honhaar Scholarship Program,” which will eventually offer international scholarship opportunities. Additionally, she announced an upcoming initiative to distribute laptops to students, highlighting that 60% of the Honhaar Scholarship recipients are women, reflecting the impressive achievements of female students.
Addressing environmental issues, she stressed the importance of adopting electric vehicles (e-vehicles) for a healthier environment in Punjab. She also mentioned a Chinese company’s interest in establishing an electric bike manufacturing plant in the province.
Beyond scholarships, Maryam Nawaz introduced a plan to provide interest-free loans to deserving students, enabling them to start their own businesses after graduation. Under this initiative, over Rs. 100 million in loans will be distributed. She further shared that 30,000 students will receive scholarships, provided they abstain from anti-state activities.
