Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi visited the Akhuwat University in Mustafabad, Kasur, where he received a comprehensive briefing from the institution’s founder, Dr. Amjad Saqib, on its performance. The Chief Minister took the opportunity to acquaint himself with the faculty members and explore various facilities within the university.
During the visit, CM Naqvi toured lecture rooms, the library, the honesty shop, kitchen, mosque, and other sections of the university. As a symbolic gesture, he planted a sapling in the university’s lawn to emphasize the importance of environmental sustainability.
Addressing the students in the mosque, CM Naqvi emphasized national unity, stating, “We are all Pakistanis, and regardless of our provincial or city affiliations, we must contribute to the progress of our country.” He expressed optimism about Pakistan’s future, highlighting the country’s abundant resources and strengthened national economy over the past few months.
Speaking directly to the students, Naqvi urged them to focus on both their academic studies and extracurricular activities. He emphasized the importance of a courteous and respectful attitude towards others, underscoring that such values contribute to success in practical life.
“Spreading despair amounts to a sin,” declared CM Naqvi, encouraging the youth to maintain a positive outlook and work towards the common objective of contributing to the progress of the country.
Acknowledging the lack of emphasis on current affairs education in colleges and universities, Naqvi stressed the importance of students staying informed and urged them to take the initiative in acquiring knowledge about ongoing events.
Expressing his satisfaction with Akhuwat University’s management, Chief Minister Naqvi lauded the institution’s success under Dr. Amjad Saqib’s leadership. He commended Saqib for his unwavering dedication to the betterment of Akhuwat University, emphasizing the invaluable services rendered for the uplift of the institution.
