Conference on Trends in Chemistry concluded at UoE

The second three-day international conference (Hybrid) on the theme of “Trends and Research in Chemistry” organized by the University of Education (UoE) Lahore, concluded.

Renowned researchers and scholars from more than 30 countries including Pakistan, America, Netherlands, France, Malaysia, China, Great Britain, Bulgaria, Australia, Iran, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia participated in the conference.

At the conference, researchers and scholars presented around a hundred comprehensive research papers, which were well received by the participants. The closing ceremony of the international conference was held in the main campus township of UoE, which was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha while the chief guest was the Vice-Chancellor of Government College Women University (GCWU) Faisalabad Prof Dr Rubina Farooq.

Addressing the closing ceremony of the conference, UoE Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Nasir Pasha said that we are hopeful that the researchers and scholars benefited from this conference through the exchange of knowledge and experience, which will also ultimately benefit all countries and their people. The field of chemistry is very vast and it is increasing day by day with modern research. The Vice-Chancellor said that undoubtedly, research is the basic unit of development, the nations which have adopted the habit of research, have a distinguished position in the world today, so as Pakistanis, we also need to pay full attention to it.

The chief guest of the ceremony, Vice-Chancellor GCWUF, Prof Dr Rubina Farooq, said that during the three-day conference, researchers from 30 countries got an opportunity to learn a lot from each other’s knowledge and experience, which the University of Education, Lahore deserved applause. I am sure that the said conference will open new doors of collaboration and cooperation among scientists in the field of chemistry at the global level.

At the end of the ceremony, the Chairperson of the Department of Chemistry Professor Dr Mian Habib ur Rahman thanked the participants. Prof Dr Muhammad Arshad, Pro-Vice Chancellor, local Directors/Principals of UoE and a large number of students were also present on this occasion.
