Central Superior Services (CSS) is quite a competitive exam which is organized by Federal Public Services Commission (FPSC) to recruit civil officers on a merit basis. Students from all over Pakistan appear in this exam to secure higher jobs as civil servants. CSS exam subjects consist of two categories that are compulsory and elective subjects which the students must pass. CSS is known to be one of the toughest exams in Pakistan. Many students appear for the exam but unfortunately, only a few students can clear these examinations. In the CSS exam, there are 6 compulsory subjects as well as selective subjects too which you can choose according to your previous education experience. CSS exams consist of a total of 1200 marks, in which six hundred marks are consistent with compulsory subjects while on the other hand, the other six hundred marks are from the selective CSS subject list. It is important to pass each paper, whether it is from the compulsory or selective sections.

CSS Compulsory Subjects

CSS Compulsory Subjects are necessary for candidates to attempt; CSS aspirants are given no choice but to pass these subjects. CSS written Exams have 1200 total numbers, 600 of which are covered by Compulsory Subjects.

All these groups contain all important details regarding CSS exam subjects. Students appearing for the CSS exams are required to attempt all subjects in English Language except for the Islamic studies and regional languages which are Arabic, Pashto, Balochi, Sindhi, Persian. Islamic Studies can be attempted in Urdu or even in English. This depends on the candidate as to which language they want to use in the exam. There are high chances of getting MCQs in both optional and compulsory CSS subjects.

Moreover, as per the rules of Federal Public Service Commission, CSS exam subjects containing 200 marks come with two papers while the CSS subjects containing 100 marks are comprised of one paper only. The duration for these papers is for three hours only so the students should practice time management accordingly as no extra time is given.

To clear and pass all the CSS exams might be quite challenging and is an uphill task but intelligent students can surely very easily pass with flying numbers. Although the competition is quite tough, a little hard work will surely go a long way. Students should remember that smart study will always lead to success in any field of competitive examinations.
