The Joint Action Committee of non-teaching staffers of the Dow University of Health Sciences held an urgent meeting at Ojha Campus to raise voices for the employees for the varsity.

According to the press statement, the JAC has been fighting for the last one year for the legitimate and legal demands of the deprived and oppressed employees of Dow University. The committee has written dozens of letters to the Vice Chancellor and senior officials, and also held meetings with concerned officials to resolve the issues.

However, on one is ready to listen to the employees but instead of resolving the legitimate rights the Dow management continued to be frivolous and reckless. “The Joint Action Committee has started a legal struggle for the deprived employees of Dow University”.

The committee informed that hundreds of Dow University employees have sent legal notices for their allowances to Vice Chancellor Dow University and other senior officials and soon a constitutional petition will be filed in the Sindh High Court. The entire process of which has been completed.

In the coming weeks, convention employees will be held regarding legal and constitutional petitions. The committee is launching a massive protest movement by mobilizing early rights awareness. All employees at every forum including the office of the Vice Chancellor’s Office, Director Finance and Director HRK will partake in the protest.

“We will not give up our legitimate demands and will continue to have legitimate rights. We hope that the higher authorities will take immediate action against the management of the Dow University”.
