SDG#11 Sustainable Cities and Communities with women empowerment SDG # 17- Partnerships for the Goals – Three major sections of DUHS come together as a team for the achievement of the goals.
As part of the awareness campaign,“Pinktober-2022”, the occasion highlighted the burden of breast cancer for which Pakistan is playing a vital role, including the public service message through dial tunes that all those making phone calls get exposure to for awareness. Further on, pdf e-pamphlets for the significant highlights of this cancer will be shared (to support paperless sharing).
Sports and physical activity is a huge stress reliever; therefore, active lifestyle is the key to reduced risk of breast cancer. In this era of mental pressure and frustration the venting out of tension is a must demand for health and peace. Hence the spiritual training by the trainer, Mr Anwer, president Pakistan Martial Arts Association (PMAA) and his team during the workshop was highly pertinent to the Pinktober theme.

Prof Dr Nusrat Shah emphasized on the significance of the psychological empowerment of women followed by physical, financial and mental empowerment. Engr Javed Memon encouraged the participants to participate in the physical activities as well as be confident in their inner strength.

He appreciated the motivation of the DUHS sportsmen and sportswomen for assuming the responsibility to host the HEC All Pakistan inter varsity chess championship for males and Archery championship for females. The workshop commenced with an ice breaking disarmament act by Prof Dr Nusrat Shah and Director Sports.
The presence of Prof Dr Nusrat has been a moral booster for the participants as she passed on her positive energy by her active participation. She insisted the participants and audience to stay active and resilient. She acknowledged and appreciated the organizing team on arranging this workshop.
