The Dow University of Health Sciences Joint Action Committee On Saturday organized a rally in support of the legitimate and long-standing demands of the employees.

A large number of employees participated in the protest. As they tried to reach the office of the health minister Dr. Ezra Afzal Psycho. Police barred them from advancing.

Later Prof. Sajida Qureshi and Prof. Dr Ramla came to negotiate with the protesters and they assured to hold talks. Meanwhile, the employees wanted to present their demands to the Governor of Sindh where some elements of the university administration and police officials tried to stop them.

Representing the employees, Aziz Ahmed, General Secretary, Officers Welfare Association and Sindh Universities Officers Federation, handed over a letter to the Governor regarding the demands of the employees and requested that immediate action be taken.

Employees made it clear to the Dow University administration that if the legitimate demands were not met immediately, there would be protests and sit-ins at the Vice Chancellor’s Office, the director of finance and the director of HR’s office.
