Federal Minister of Education and Professional Training Rana Tanveer Hussain strongly condemned the Vice Chancellor Government College University (GCU) Lahore and PTI leadership for turning a renowned higher educational institution into a political stage.

It is to inform you that PTI organized a political Jalsa at GCU Lahore, where the students and PTI political leaders chanted slogans against the leaders of other political parties during Imran Khan’s speech.

In a statement, Rana Tanveer Hussain said that GCU was considered one of the oldest learning institutes. Unfortunately, Rana said, the GCU was being staged for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders to spread hate against their political rivals.

He added that the concerned authorities had been ordered to take strict action against vice chancellor GCU. He further said that PTI leaders had no shame in stealing projects and rebranding the initiatives of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) government in their name.

He informed that today’s event at GCU Lahore was the rebranding of PMLN’s e-employment scheme.

It is pertinent to mention that PTI Chairman Imran Khan visited GCU Lahore on Monday, where he lashed out at his political opponents. His speech drew ire among his political opponents, who demanded strict action against the Vice-Chancellor.

Governor Punjab Baligh Ur Rahman also took notice of Khan’s visit. Maryam Nawaz demanded strict action against Vice Chancellor Dr Asghar Zaidi.

PMLN’s Central Vice President Maryam Nawaz also demanded action against Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Government College University (GCU) Dr Asghar Zaidi for allowing PTI Chairman Imran Khan to make a political address to the students.
