Educational institutions mark Christmas with Christian employees

Educational institutions located in the provincial metropolis celebrated Christmas for Christian employees and organized different ceremonies at the campuses and offices.

The organizations including the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), University of Sargodha (UoS), Home Economics University (UHE), Punjab Education Foundation (PEF), Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore and many other organized cake cutting ceremonies in honor of Christian employees and paid tribute to their services.

UET organized a Christmas cake-cutting ceremony for its Christian employees, Dean Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Prof Dr Nadeem Ahmad Mufti participated as chief guest in the ceremony. Addressing the ceremony Prof Dr Nadeem Ahmad Mufti congratulated the Christian employees and the Christian community and expressed his gratitude towards them.

He acknowledged the role of Christian employees and their contribution to the university. He stressed equality and promoted harmony among all the employees and said that Islam ensures equal respect and rights to all people belonging to any religion.

The University of Sargodha hosted a ceremony to extend felicitations and warmest wishes to members of the community. Addressing the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qaisar Abbas said that the occasion reminds us of the values that Prophet Jesus observed in his own life. He not only healed humanity but preached the divine values of tolerance, love and compassion. He said that the promotion of brotherhood, tolerance, harmony, love and affection is the essence of the teachings of Jesus as he was sent to this world as a symbol of peace, brotherhood and respect for humanity.

The ceremony of PEF was attended by Managing Director PEF Manzar Javed, TEVTA Chairperson Mamoon Jaffar Tarrar and Chairman Lahore Board Mirza Habib attended the cake-cutting ceremonies and extend their greetings and wishes for Christian employees.
