Entrepreneur Lab to be established at KUBS

The University of Karachi and Dubai-based Cafe Entrepreneurs and Brand Dignifier signed the memorandum of understanding to establish an entrepreneur lab at the Karachi University Business School.

The Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of the Cafe Entrepreneurs and Brand Dignifier Furqan Saeed shared that this Lab can be accessed by the University of Karachi enrolled students, outsider’s students, and corporate professionals for professional training and entrepreneurial activities.

He mentioned that the Cafe Entrepreneur was established in the year 2017 in Dubai – U.A.E, since then the company is working on a series of services for developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem to integrate within the society.

According to him, the company has successfully launched more than 180 entrepreneurs in more than 18 sectors within the region of the gulf. He said that now from the year 2021 Cafe Entrepreneur has opened its door full of opportunities for the Pakistani market to cater to our young, talented, energetic, youth to provide them with a platform to become entrepreneurs and properly contribute to society.

He added that the main objective of this MoU is to develop academic and educational cooperation, establishing a collaborative exchange program (local and international) in networking, especially in the field of advisory sessions for the students that help to select the qualification that suits those best and to cooperate in each other’s mutual interest, internship and job placement (locally and internationally) for University of Karachi students.

Meanwhile, the KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi said that he is hopeful that this platform will be designed to cater to the latest requirement of the industries of Pakistan and the Gulf region.

He observed that this platform will provide a fair opportunity to all the aspirant candidates to link with their desired industries. The KU VC Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi said that this will be a good opportunity as experts of the market will speak directly to aspirant students and they will have a series of training on entrepreneurship and via this program, they can easily upgrade knowledge as per the industrial prerequisites.

He appreciated that students through this platform will be able to qualify for the international training and cross-border knowledge and exchange of education and training programs.The KU VC Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi and the Founder and CEO Cafe Entrepreneurs and Brand Dignifier Furqan Saeed inked the MoU documents at the VC Secretariat.
