LAHORE: Professor Dr. Mujahid Kamran, former vice-chancellor of the University of the Punjab has joined UMT as the Chief Advisor on Research and Academic Excellence. He has been a professor of Physics, previously serving as the chairperson of the Physics Department at the University of the Punjab.
Dr. Mujahid Kamran was awarded a doctoral scholarship by the Government of Pakistan at the University of Edinburgh (UK) in 1975. He did his PhD in theoretical physics in 1979. He has been serving Pakistan in the field of education for the last 30 years.
President UMT Ibrahim Hasan Murad warmly welcomed Professor Dr. Mujahid Kamran to UMT, wishing him best of luck in his role and responsibilities. Mr. Murad expressed that Dr. Kamran is also our asset just as Dr. Hassan Sohaib Murad (Shaheed) was. Dr. Kamran possesses vast experience in the field of education, he further added.
