FAPUASA demands removal of SHEC chairman

Sindh Govt has destroyed higher education in Sindh after appointing a non PhD person who is the owner of a private University as the head of VC Search Committee

FAPUASA strongly condemn this decision and demands from Sindh Government to immediately change Chairperson of Sindh HEC” Liaqat Ali Tunio, President FAPUASA Sindh Chapter

“First, Sindh Govt halted Aid Grant of Universities and now it has appointed a person with conflict of interest as the head of VC search Committee, seems like Government wants all universities of Sindh to be closed” Asif Hussain Samo, General Secretary FAPUASA Sindh Chapter.

Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Associations, Sindh Chapter has strongly condemned decision of Sindh Government to appoint A non PhD, who is also, owner of a private University, as head of search committee for Vice Chancellors of public sector universities of Sindh.

If the Search Committee Act requires the chairperson of Sindh HEC to head the search committee, then FAPUASA Sindh Chapter demands from Sindh Government to immediately change current chairperson of Sindh HEC and appoint a senior Professor from public sector universities as chairperson Sindh HEC.

We have been continuously protesting for lack of adequate budgets but rather to accept our just demands, Sindh Government has further destroyed higher education of Sindh with this decision

We shall protest against this decision, and if need be, FAPUASA Sindh Chapter shall announce boycott in all public sector universities of Sindh, if the Chairperson Sindh HEC is not repalced.
