Female students achieve top positions in MA results

The University of Karachi on Tuesday announced the results of MA Annual Private Islamic Studies, Mathematics, Philosophy, and Arabic Annual Exam. All top positions were clinched by female students. However, all candidates who appeared in the Arabic exams were declared.

According to the KU Controller Examination Dr. Syed Zafar Hussain the results of MA final year Private Islamic Studies, Mathematics, Philosophy and Arabic Annual Examinations for 2019-2020 have been announced.

In Islamic Studies, Noorafshan with 780 marks bagged first position and Saira Ashraf with 775 marks the second position while Qaratul Ain Naeem with 756 marks achieved the third position.

In the said exams, 464 students participated, 216 students were declared successful in the first division while 126 students were declared successful in the second division. The success rate was 73.71 percent.

In Mathematics exams, Sana Bint Muhammad bagged the first position with 684 marks. However, a total of 15 students participated in the examinations, 2 students were declared successful in the first division and 3 students were declared successful in the second division. The success rate was 33.33 percent.

In Philosophy Examinations, Asif Iqbal with 638 marks archived first, and Wardajahat secured the second position with 624 marks. The success rate in the division was 36.36 percent.
Likewise, only 8 students participated in Arabic exams and all the students were declared unsuccessful. The success rate was zero.

Meanwhile, the KU Registrar Prof. Dr. Maqsood Ali Ansari said that a meeting of the principals of all the colleges affiliated regarding admissions to the Associate Degree Program will be held on today at 10:00 AM in the auditorium of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
