The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in Australia presents a unique opportunity for Pakistani students to embark on a journey of academic excellence through a fully funded Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship. UTS, renowned for its exceptional research impact and dedication, is the top-ranked young university in Australia, making this fully funded scholarship accessible to Pakistani students.
The Research Training Program (RTP) is a scholarship initiative funded by the Australian Government through the Commonwealth Government Department of Education and Training. It is designed for exceptional research-oriented students seeking higher research degrees, such as Research Master’s (MRes) and PhD.
Scholarship recipients will benefit from the following:
- A tax-free living allowance of $32,500 per year.
- The funding duration is up to 3.5 years for PhD candidates and 2 years for MRes students.
- The scholarship covers general living expenses in Australia.
Eligibility criteria for the Research Training Program scholarship are as follows:
- Enrollment in a higher degree by research program at UTS during the RTP Stipend year.
- Not receiving any equivalent award or stipend exceeding 75% of the RTP Scholarship stipend designated for research degrees.
- Meeting the specific requirements of the intended course for which the application is being made.
- Applicants must ensure that they submit complete applications, including all requested information and uploaded documents, by the specified deadline. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
Assessment of applicants is based on factors such as academic merit, research experience, publication record, and the relevance of the submitted research proposal.
Applying for the scholarship is streamlined:
- New students applying for a course need only select the “YES” box in the Scholarship/Sponsorship information section.
- Scholarship selection is automatic, and successful applicants will be notified after submitting their online applications.
