Future Advocates Take the Stand at GCUF Mock Trial Competition

The Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) successfully concluded the Law Mock Trial Competitions 2025 under the esteemed supervision of the Department of Law. This prestigious event provided aspiring law students with a realistic courtroom experience, enhancing their legal acumen and advocacy skills.

The competition was held under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-I-Azam, with an esteemed panel of judges and distinguished guests in attendance. Notable figures included Justice (R) Kazim Ali Malik, District & Sessions Judge Anti-Terrorism Court Javed Iqbal Sheikh, Senior Advocate High Court Mian Asad Nisar Bhatti, and Chairman Law College Dr Ghulam Murtaza.

Competing teams from the GCUF Law Department engaged in a simulated criminal trial, presenting evidence, cross-examining witnesses, and making compelling legal arguments before a distinguished panel of judges. The event recreated the intensity of real courtroom proceedings, allowing students to experience the discipline and challenges of legal practice.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-I-Azam praised the initiative, emphasizing that such competitions bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application. He encouraged students to uphold the principles of discipline, law, and justice throughout their legal careers.

Justice (R) Kazim Ali Malik also highlighted the significance of practical exposure in shaping competent legal professionals. He lauded the participants for their outstanding performances and urged them to continue honing their advocacy skills.
