The Graduate and Research Management Council of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST), in its 49th meeting chaired by the Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Athar Ata on Thursday, awarded eight PhD, 12 MS, and 17 MPhil degrees in various departments.

The eight students who were awarded M.Phil degrees included Aneela Qadeer, Sumbul Salem, Nabeela Mehmood ul hasan, Saira Qadir, Erum Fazal, Irfanullah son of Rafiq ullah, Shafiq Ayub and Asghar Ali Shah. These students belong to various departments.

Those who bagged M.Phil. degrees were Nazish Kausar of the Chemistry Department, Aqsa Ali and Sakina Jafar Ali of the Biochemistry, Rabia Najam of the Physics, Mehwish Khan, Rasool Khan of the International Relations, Muhammad Yusuf of the Arabic, Amber Naz bint Ghulam Hussain, Farheen Shakir, Muhammad Yusuf, and Saima Habib of the Urdu Department, Rabia Noor Ahmad, Mirza Muhammad Sanaul Haq, Sania Qasim, Fatima Ilyas, Rashid Mahmood, Atiq-ur-Rehman of the Economics and Adnan Alam of the Applied Physics Department.

Meanwhile 12 students of the FUUAST Islamabad Campus were awarded MS degrees. They were included Shaukat Rahim, Nasrullah Khan, Rehan Akram, Atif Hussain, Waqas Ahmad, Rao Kamran Javed, Muhammad Rafaqat Khan, Taj Muhammad, Muhammad Zahid Hanif, Mohsin Mahmood Qureshi, Syed Mohammad Bilal and Abdullah Omar.
