The non-teaching staffers of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology Gulshan Campus Non-Teaching have decided to demonstrate protest against the discriminative behavior of the varsity administration with nonteaching staffers.
According to the Workers Welfare Association President Adnan Akhtar, the staffers would demonstrate protest after Eid-ul-Adha against the growing injustice and mistreatment of non-teaching staff by the university administration.
He said that despite the clear orders of the federal government, the Fuuast management has proved its administrative incompetence by not paying the salaries of non-teaching staff on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. Due to this, there is severe unrest among the employees.
He expressed his views while addressing a tumultuous meeting of the non-teaching staff of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Campus on Monday. Akhtar said that the administration had broken its promise by not paying daily wages on Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha. So far, the varsity administration has taken no steps to make contractual employees permanent. On the contrary, blue-eyed persons are being rewarded in every possible way and their grades are also being upgraded. We will raise our voice for non-teaching staffers and after Eid-ul-Adha the General Body meeting would be convened to announce a future course of action.
