GCU holds All Pakistan E-literary Competition

The Government College University Lahore on Tuesday held All Pakistan E-literary Competition under the auspices of Kashmir and Palestine societies. Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organisation, awarded cash prizes to the winner of the competition.

Sunaiha Adeel from Kinnaird College Lahore won first prize in English Essay Competition, while Hafsa Noor and Maha Bilal from Lahore College Women University stood second and third respectively.

In Urdu Essay Contest, Adnan Ali from SZABIST Karachi, Muhammad Mustafa from GCU Lahore and Bukhtawar Ijaz from University of Education (UoE) secured the first, second and third positions.

Abdullah Kakakhel from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar adjudicated first in the Urdu Poetry Competition while Rehab Hassan and Syeda Izzat Zahra from Punjab University stood second and third.

Areesha Khan, Nudrat Fatima, Nisa Waseem, Ayesha Ahad, Maria Yousuf and Muzia Fatima secured positions in short story contest.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi congratulated the winners of E-literary Competition which was part of week-long first All Pakistan Summit for the Students’ Societies being hosted by the GCU in collaboration with the UNESCO Creative Cities Network: Lahore-City of Literature through Commissioner Lahore, and NGOs Bargad Organization for Youth Development and Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness.
