GCUF Hosts 5th International Students Convention & Expo 2025

Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF), in collaboration with the Inter-University Consortium for Promotion of Social Sciences Pakistan (IUCPSS), successfully organized the 5th International Students Convention & Expo 2025. The event aimed to foster academic collaboration, cultural exchange, and youth leadership development on a global scale.

Muhammad Murtaza Noor, the founder of the International Students Convention, played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and establishing this prestigious platform. His vision seeks to strengthen international academic partnerships while highlighting Pakistan’s research potential on a global stage.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-I-Azam emphasized the importance of the convention in nurturing youth talent, addressing global challenges, and fostering international partnerships. He welcomed distinguished guests, including the Guest of Honor, Dr Zubair Mohammad Hamdullah Zahid, Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan, and Prime Minister’s Coordinator Rana Ehsan Afzal Khan.

The convention attracted Vice Chancellors from various universities, faculty members, and students from institutions across Punjab. International students representing over 20 countries, including Palestine, Turkey, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Nigeria, and Jordan, also participated, enhancing the event’s global appeal.

Dr Zubair Mohammad Hamdullah Zahid commended the initiative, highlighting its significance in promoting global solidarity and educational collaboration. He also expressed gratitude to the people of Pakistan for their unwavering support for Palestine’s cause.

Spanning three days, the convention featured a diverse array of activities, including student competitions, workshops, a Model United Nations on climate change, city tours, indoor sports, innovation and industrial stalls, an education expo, and entertainment programs. These engagements provided a vibrant platform for students, researchers, academicians, educators, innovators, and industry leaders to collaborate and exchange ideas.

With an overwhelming participation of over 10,000 students, the 5th International Students Convention & Expo 2025 proved to be an inspiring and transformative experience, reinforcing Pakistan’s role in fostering global academic partnerships and youth empowerment.
