Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) affiliate minister said the government was all set to remove these teachers, however, the opposition should do an agreement with the government that they will support the move in the provincial assembly.

Earlier, Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah was told by Shah that almost 9600 schools were shelter less in Sindh. During a formal meeting of Sindh’s school education and literacy department, Shah informed the CM that out of 9600 shelters less schools, 71 schools have more than 100 pupils. The CM took a policy decision and directed officials to shift shelter less schools with more than 40 enrolments to nearby government schools.

The Sindh government is planning to establish Teachers’ Biometric Verification – Mapping the Education Department’s workforce to ensure that no cases of ghost teachers exist in Sindh.
