ISLAMABAD: The United States Embassy in Pakistan congratulated Team Invictus, a group of Pakistan students from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI), Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on winning second place in the 2021 American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (Design, Build and Fly) competition.
The GIKI student’s win is also commendable as they have beat teams from renowned institutions such as MIT, UC Berkeley and Stanford.
A statement was released by Team Invictus’ management , “We are thankful for the recent influx of support and appreciation on so many platforms and are proud to represent Pakistan on an international platform. We have achieved 2nd position in just the proposal phase of the competition, not the entire competition. “
The statement pointed out that there are still two additional rounds remaining in this year’s contest. They have requested social media platforms to remove posts spreading false information and instead, contact the team’s social media management for correct information.
