In a significant step towards fostering academic and research excellence, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Government Sadiq College Women University (GSCWU) Bahawalpur, and the Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CUVAS) Bahawalpur. The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration in academic and research activities between the two institutions.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The MoU signing ceremony took place at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat and was formalized by Prof Dr Shazia Anjum, Vice Chancellor of GSCWU, and Professor Dr Mazhar Ayaz, Vice Chancellor of CUVAS. Several key officials were in attendance, including Dr Shabana Ramzan, Director of the Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization; Dr Saima Naz, Chairperson of the Department of Zoology at GSCWU; and Dr Qasoor Ali Shah, Chairman of the Department of Zoology at CUVAS.
Prof Dr Shazia Anjum highlighted the significance of the partnership, emphasizing that the agreement would pave the way for joint academic and research initiatives. “This collaboration will involve organizing joint workshops and seminars for faculty and students, as well as providing valuable internship opportunities for students. It represents a major step towards fostering a research-oriented culture and creating better opportunities for the students of this region to excel,” she stated.
This partnership is expected to contribute to the academic and professional development of students and faculty members from both universities, while also promoting innovative research in the region. By pooling resources and expertise, GSCWU and CUVAS aim to enhance the educational landscape and address the evolving challenges of their respective fields.
