LAHORE: Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has approved  Rs 1776 million for the new campus phase one of Lahore College for Women University(LCWU).

This project at Kala Shah Kaku will be completed in 3 years.  Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Bushra Mirza said that under this project, three Institutes and boarding houses will be constructed. Institute of Environment and Climate Change, Nursing and Law would be part of Phase-I of Kalashah Kaku New Campus which consists of 100 acres.

She said that the management of LCWU was grateful to the HEC for approving the project. Approval of this project is a milestone for the advancement of women. The Vice Chancellor said that Lahore College is already offering 41 undergraduate programs. These new disciplines will provide students job oriented education. “I congratulate my administration and faculty members on the achievement of this project and appreciate their efforts,” she added
