The highly anticipated Study in Malaysia Education Fair took place in Islamabad on 18th September 2024, at Hotel Ramada by Wyndham. Organized by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), the event aimed to provide Pakistani students and their parents with a unique opportunity to explore educational programs offered by top Malaysian universities.
The fair was inaugurated by H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan. It featured prominent Malaysian universities such as University Putra Malaysia (UPM), Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), UCSI University, INCEIF University, Multimedia University (MMU), University Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), University of Cyberjaya (UoC), University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and University Malaya (UM).
Attendees had the chance to engage directly with university representatives, gaining insights into various courses, admission requirements, and student life in Malaysia. Additionally, seminars and workshops were held on topics such as scholarships, visa procedures, and career opportunities in Malaysia.
Malaysia remains a favored destination for international students due to its high-quality education, multicultural environment, and affordable living costs. According to the latest statistics from EMGS, Pakistan ranked among the top five countries for applications to study in Malaysia in 2024. Since 2020, over 7,000 applications from Pakistani students have been received.
