The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced the dates for the first phase of the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part I and Part II Annual Exams for 2022 starting from June 18.

According to the examination schedule, in the first phase, exams for Science Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Science General, Home Economics, Commerce Regular and Commerce Private Groups will be taken on Saturday, June 18, 2022 in the first half of the day. The exams will continue till Wednesday, July 6, 2022.

However, in the second half, the candidates for the Commerce Regular and Commerce Private Groups will be attempting their papers from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) was established on 1st February 1974. Offices of the Board of Secondary Education remained in its old premises whereas officers of the Board of Intermediate Education were housed in the hostel building and Bakhtiar Youth Centre.

Discharging its responsibilities independently, Board of Intermediate Education Karachi held its first HSC Examination in 1974 for 51,000 candidates with 50 colleges affiliated with it. The number of Examinees reached 275,000 in 2018. Now there are approximately 358 colleges affiliated with the Board.
