The IBA Sukkur will conduct a test for the recruitment of 46500 teachers in the second week of August, said Provincial Education Minister Saeed Ghani while presiding over a meeting held at the office of the secretary of education on Friday.

So far the School Education and Literacy Department has received five hundred thousand applications for the recruitment of 46500 PSTs and JESTs. The meeting discussed the test procedures for recruitment of teachers, installation of CCTV at test centers, and biometric attendance of candidates.

“The IBA Sukkur has been directed to conduct a transparent recruitment test and ensure the installation of CCTV at examination centers. We hope that the newly recruited teachers would obviously uplift the quality of education in the province,” Saeed Ghani.

He said that the tests for the recruitment of teachers would be conducted at the Union Council level in each division across the province. “The Vice Chancellor of the IBA Sukkar has given a detailed briefing about the assessment process. The test centers would be monitor through CCTV cameras while examiners will also record the test procedures.

All the candidates would avail this opportunity to attempt the test in the open air. The institute will ensure transparency and will take all possible measures for conducting the test in a transparent manner to get unbiased results. “The teachers would be recruited on merit and no pressure would be accepted in the recruitment process”.

All the applicants will be attempting the test in the open so that none of the candidates could raise questions on the transparency of the test. The IBA would use modern technology to fully monitor the assessment process.

During the meeting the IBA Sukkar Vice Chancellor Syed Mir Mohammad Shah said that this time the test would be conducted at the divisional level. The institute will conduct tests in six divisions including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mirpur Khas, and Larkana.

In the first phase, the candidates who applied for the positions of PST would attempt the test while in the second phase the JESTs will be appearing in the test. “Every candidate would have a separate answer sheet, on which his picture and complete information has already been written”.

The VC said that the candidates will also be able to visit the IBA Sukkur website and check his answer sheets. The meeting was attended by SELD Secretary Ahmed Bakhsh Narejo, Vice Chancellor Sukkur IBA Syed Mir Muhammad Shah, Registrar Sukkur IBA Dr Zahid Hussain Khand, IT Expert Zafar Ahmed, Director HR Muhammad Junaid and others.
