In a landmark move to enhance the quality of education in Pakistan, the Inter-Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) and the Northern Consortium UK (NCUK) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a comprehensive teacher training program across the country.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah. Executive Director IBCC and Mr. Steve, CEO NCUK. The ceremony, held during the World Education Forum in London, was graced by the presence of Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the Federal Minister for Education, and Mr. Raja Muhammad Azam Khan, the Education Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.

This collaboration represents a major advancement in the professional development of teachers. It aims to provide them with the latest pedagogical skills and educational methodologies. The program will concentrate on improving teaching standards, increasing classroom engagement, and incorporating modern educational technologies into the learning environment.

Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the Federal Minister emphasized the importance of this initiative: “Today, we embark on a journey to revolutionize our educational framework. The MoU between IBCC and NCUK is a testament to our commitment to providing high-quality education through well-trained and motivated teachers. This partnership will not only benefit our educators but also significantly improve student outcomes across Pakistan.”

Education Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Raja Muhammad Azam Khan also highlighted the impact of the MoU on the region: “Gilgit-Baltistan, with its unique educational challenges, stands to gain immensely from this teacher training program. We are optimistic that this collaboration will bring about positive changes in our schools and help bridge the educational gap in our remote areas.”

The teacher training program will be rolled out in phases and will include workshops, seminars, and hands-on training sessions conducted by experts from NCUK. The initiative also aims to establish a network of master trainers who will, in turn, train other educators, ensuring the program’s sustainability and long-term impact.

This MoU signifies a robust partnership that will pave the way for a brighter educational future in Pakistan. Through collaborative efforts, IBCC and NCUK are dedicated to empowering teachers and ultimately enriching the learning experiences of students nationwide.
