ICCBS Successfully Holds Admission Test

The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) at the University of Karachi (UoK) peacefully conducted its admission test for the MPhil and PhD degree programs for 2024 and onward. The test took place on Sunday at the ICCBS premises.

According to a spokesperson for ICCBS – University of Karachi, numerous candidates participated in the test, which commenced at 10:00 am and concluded at noon in the Prof Salimuzzaman Siddiqui Auditorium – ICCBS.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Karachi, Prof Dr Khalid Mehmood Iraqi, visited the examination center along with Prof Dr Anila Amber Malik, Convener of the Post-Graduate Admission Committee, and other team members. Prof Dr Iraqi expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made for the entry test.

Following the special instructions of Prof Dr Farzana Shaheen, Director of the ICCBS, stringent security measures were implemented to ensure a smooth testing process, the spokesperson added.

Test results will be published on the ICCBS and University of Karachi websites on August 4, with the final merit list to follow shortly. The spokesperson emphasized that all admissions will be awarded purely on a merit basis, in line with the university’s higher learning program.

Successful candidates will be required to attend interviews and will be admitted to the Dr Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD) and the H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry, both part of the University of Karachi.

For candidates’ convenience, a shuttle bus service was provided from Maskan Gate and Campus Gate (near Sheikh Zayed Islamic Center) to the ICCBS. The admission test was conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner, the official concluded.
