KARACHI: Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba on Tuesday demonstrated a protest rally on University Road, Karachi in solidarity with Palestinians. The students as well as a large number of their families and common participated in the protest.

Addressing the demonstration, the IJT chief Hamza Mohammad Siddiqui said that all Muslims across the Islamic world worship at mosques in this holy month of Ramadan, but Palestinians have even no right to worship peacefully. The irony is that all the so-called world leaders and champions of humanity are now silent over this sheer violation of human rights.

He further said the issue of Jerusalem is not an issue for Palestinians and Hamas only, but it’s an issue for all Muslim Ummah. However, Palestinians are currently fulfilling their duty on behalf of the entire Ummah.

He said that the IJT will continue to protest in solidarity with Palestine and it is the responsibility of Muslims to raise their voice for Palestine in every forum. “We will launch a full-fledged campaign to show solidarity with Palestine throughout Pakistan”, said Siddiqui, added; “we salute to the innocent Palestinian children who are a leaden wall in front of the Israeli army.  The sacrifices of Palestinian mothers and sisters can never be forgotten.
