Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Multan marked the 77th Independence Day of Pakistan with a vibrant celebration, reflecting the enduring spirit of patriotism and unity that defines the nation. The event was a heartfelt tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s founding fathers and a call to action for the future.
The ceremony began with an inspiring speech from Prof Dr Muhammad Ali (T.I., S.I.), who emphasized the immense responsibility that every citizen holds in realizing the vision of a prosperous and progressive Pakistan. “Our forefathers laid down their lives for the freedom we enjoy today. It is now our duty to build a nation that reflects their dreams. Pakistan is blessed with abundant natural resources and talented youth; the key to our success lies in harnessing these strengths,” Dr Ali passionately stated.
The event also recognized the exceptional achievements of students and leaders who have contributed to the university and society. In a special awards ceremony, 11 society presidents were honored with medals for their leadership, while 4 outstanding students were presented with the prestigious “Role of Honour” award for their exemplary work throughout the 2023-24 academic session. These awards underscored the university’s commitment to excellence and the importance of cultivating future leaders who will drive the nation’s progress.
The celebration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the unity and determination that continue to guide Pakistan towards a brighter future.
