Indonesian Ambassador Announces Scholarships For VU Students


Ambassador of Indonesia to Pakistan Iwan Suyudhie Amri visited the head office of Virtual University of Pakistan, in Lahore on Thursday.

He was received by VU Director ICT Ehsen Zafar Puri along Registrar Mohsin Javed, Advisor Academics Abdul Majid, GM Marketing Rubina Ali, Advisor Marketing Suleman Khan, Director ORIC Dr Arshad Hussain Hashmi, VU principal officers and Digiskills Project Director Dr Zafar Alvi.

In his address during a session at VU, Amri announced special scholarships for VU students and staff members. The scholarship will cover tuition fee, living expense, air fare and medical expenses. Amri showed keen interest in developing long-standing cooperation in various sectors of education, as he praised the work and infrastructure of Virtual University.

Asma Safdar, being guest at the ceremony, shared her experience of studying in Indonesia. She told attendants about study, lifestyle, culture, hospitality and benefits of availing scholarships at various universities of Indonesia. Her session helped participants better understand about the study programs and scholarship opportunities. Advisor Academics Abdul Majid delivered the closing remarks at the ceremony. Counselor Deny Tri Basuki also joined the session and answered the questions of participants.

Virtual University Television Network General Manager Baber Ali briefed the guests about the Virtual University’s Television Network during the visit of guests to TV Department. The honorable guests visited various departments of VU and took keen interest in learning practices and mode of education.
