Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited King Fahd Security College (KFSC) in Riyadh on Wednesday, where he commended advancements in higher education and explored potential collaborations. He also met officials at the Saudi Directorate of Passports to assess their facilities, according to Radio Pakistan.

During his visit, Naqvi met Dr Ali Al Duaij, Director General of the KFSC, discussing study tours and training programs for graduates from both countries. He toured the college’s departments, including the Forensic Science Institute, and lauded the institution’s quality of higher education.
Radio Pakistan reported that KFSC offers master’s degrees in AI, leadership management, and security studies, along with scholarships for international students. Naqvi praised the college’s five-year strategic plan and master’s programs, calling them well-suited to modern demands.
Last year, Saudi Arabia announced it would increase scholarships for Pakistani students and introduce a teacher exchange program for research on the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Naqvi also visited the Saudi Directorate of Passports, where Acting Director General Dr Saleh Al Murabba welcomed him. According to a post by the interior ministry on X, Naqvi inspected various departments and reviewed advanced technology. Discussions focused on streamlining passport issuance, preventing forgery, and implementing e-gates.
Naqvi remarked that Saudi assistance could help Pakistan simplify its passport system and combat fraud. Plans were also made to establish a call center in Pakistan based on the Saudi model, enhancing efforts to detect forged documents within the country.
Earlier, Naqvi met with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, in a high-level meeting, where both sides pledged to enhance security cooperation.
This visit follows Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent two-day trip to Saudi Arabia, during which he met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and French President Emmanuel Macron. Earlier in the month, Saudi Arabia extended a $3 billion deposit to Pakistan for another year, supporting the country’s economy, as confirmed by the State Bank of Pakistan.
