Advisor to Prime Minister on Science and Technology and former Chairman of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan Dr Atta ur Rahman would receive the China International Science and Technology Cooperation Award from the Premiere of China on January 10.


The China International Science and Technology Cooperation Award is the highest scientific award of China conferred on foreign individuals or organizations who had made important contribution to China’s scientific and technological development.
Dr Rahman would be the first Pakistani to receive the award. Previous awardees include scientists from US, German, Japan, UK, India and many other countries.
