The Provincial Minister for Universities & Board Ismail Rahoo on Monday held an important meeting regarding the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Annual Examinations starting from May 17. The meeting discussed copy culture prevention, heatwave, and security arrangements.

On the occasion, Ismail Rahoo said that students and teachers will be banned from bringing mobile phones to all SSC examinations centers across Sindh. Those who bring mobile phones with them will be expelled from the examination centers. The Universities and Boards Department will facilitate the in-charge of the examination centers so that he could provide cold water to the students inside the exam centers and keep generators on standby.

Around 7 lac, 26 thousand 979 students of ninth and tenth class will appear in the SSC Annual Examinations across Sindh. The boards have set up as many as 1312 examination centers in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpur Khas, and Nawab Shah divisions, and 112 vigilance teams have been formed.

The minister demanded from the federal government not to carry out load shedding during exam hours. He said that section 144 has been enforced around the examination centers during examinations to prevent copy culture.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary Universities and Boards Department and chairmen of Karachi, Mirpur Khas, Larkana, Nawab Shah, Sukkur, and Hyderabad Matric Boards.
